1 medium chopped capsicum
1 medium chopped Onions
1 medium chopped Tomatoes
2 chopped Green chilies
1 tsp Grated ginger
handful Chopped Coriander leaves
for shallow frying Edible Oil
as required Salt

Uttapam Recipe: How to Make Uttapam

    Uttapam recipe is a south Indian dish which is prepared of a nutritious batter of soaked rice, and urad dal blended. This is the similar batter which is used to make idli and dosa. Uttapam is a delicious, light and very healthy dish that you can have for breakfast with some coconut chutney or sambhar on the side.

    In a big bowl, take 1 cup of semolina, also known as Rava. Into this add ¼th cup of yogurt and mix well.
    Here, keep on adding water, at least 1 cup and stir the batter consistently.

    Keep it aside for at least 20 minutes.
    Add all the veggies ( capsicum, onion, tomatoes, green chilies, ginger and coriander leaves) and mix everything well. Let the veggies get drowned perfectly in the batter.

    You might need to add some water again, its okay. You can always add ½ cup more water if need be.
    Rava tends to soak water in time.

    Now, take a non-stick pan and turn on the heat to high. Drizzle few amount of oil on it and allow it to get warm.
    Now, take some batter in a ladle and pour it into the pan.

    Pour some oil on the sides of the uttapam and give it 2-3 minutes or so to cook nicely.
    Flip it and allow it cook on the other side as well.

    Now, take it out on a plate and serve it with coconut chutney or tomato ketchup.
